When something is worthwhile, we have a duty to spread it.

This goes for everything, especially for ideas. Ideas are contaminants, contagious dreams and motivators; this is what TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) wants to be; a non-profit global organization with the sole purpose of spreading new ideas.

Throughout the world the word TED is associated with the letter "X", apparently anonymous, but with a very important meaning.

TEDX are local events, organized independently, aimed at bringing together people to share an experience very similar to that experienced with TED but that can also be something more than TED, precisely because it is "local".

In the TEDX you live a challenge with an antique flavour: trigger discussions, disseminate ideas, stimulate reactions, new conversations with an adjective that has become synonymous with "old": local.

In the local TEDX we stimulate new ideas: young minds, policy-makers, entrepreneurs illuminati to view the area with new eyes, with different stimuli from a thousand different places and to revise our idea of the here and now.

As often happens it will come as no surprise that the "here and now" is very often already tomorrow, just as are the speakers of the TED talks. The special guests: Sammy Basso, Angela Sun, Giorgio Metta, Lirio Abbate, just to mention some.

All this will happen on the 7th October in Lecce, from 15.30, embedded in a much larger event of 4 days of discussions and challenges: the XOFFLecce which will end at the Teatro Politeama at 15.30 with TEDx.

Lecce has opened the discussion, now it's up to the whole of Puglia to grasp the nettle.
